Motion Control

(Digital Animation Vision Enhancer)

RIGB

(Rig - B)

D.A.V.E. rig uses three Nema 23 and one Nema 17 stepper motors, powered by a 48 volt power supply and four DM542T motor drivers. These are controled by an Arduino Uno R3 board, which links the rig to Dragonframe.

RigB is a single axis tracking rig with just under a metre of tracking distance. This rig uses a single Nema 23 motor, however I am planning on using a smaller motor to make it less cumbersome. This rig is also fully compatable with Dragonframe.

A huge thanks to Simon Tytherleigh for providing me with 3D printer models for the focus brackets and gears. Click the link to see more of his work.

Both rigs are fully compatible with Dragonframe's Arc Motion Control Workspace and can be easily programmed to do a camera move while setting up the shot.
